Maybe it happened while helping someone understand a diagnosis, improving a confusing resource, supporting a patient or family member, or seeing firsthand how clear communication can make a difference.
For Health Literacy Month, we want to hear about the moment that made health literacy meaningful to you.
Share Your Story
Submit a short, 30-second video telling us about your Health Literacy “Aha!” Moment.
You might reflect on:
- What happened?
- When did the importance of health literacy click for you?
- What did the experience teach you?
- How has it influenced your work, studies, or approach to health communication?
Your story can be personal or professional. Students, early-career professionals, experienced health literacy practitioners, healthcare professionals, educators, researchers, community leaders and others are encouraged to participate.
How to Participate
- Record a 30-second video using your phone, computer or other device.
- Complete the submission form and upload your video.
- Include a brief description of your “Aha!” Moment and how it influenced you.
- Submit your story by September 23, 2026.
Professional video production is not required. We encourage authentic stories recorded in a quiet, well-lit setting.
Please do not include identifiable patient information or other confidential information in your submission.
